The latest leak suggests Samsung may choose Qualcomm chips for both flagship models, despite earlier reports favouring Exynos processors.

Samsung may use Qualcomm Snapdragon processors in its upcoming Galaxy S27 Ultra and Galaxy S27 Pro in South Korea. A new leak suggests the company is reviewing its chipset plans ahead of the expected 2027 launch.

Tipster yeux1122 claims Samsung is focusing on cost reduction during product development. This could influence the final choice of processors for its premium smartphones.

Galaxy S27 Ultra and Pro Chipset Details

According to the leak, the Galaxy S27 Ultra could feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6. The Galaxy S27 Pro may use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6.

Earlier reports suggested Samsung could use its Exynos 2700 processor in both models. The plan reportedly covered South Korea and Europe.

However, later reports indicated that Samsung was reconsidering its approach. The latest claim now points towards Snapdragon chips for both premium models in Korea.

Interestingly, the Exynos 2700 reportedly performed better than Qualcomm’s competing processor in internal tests. Despite this, the company may favour Snapdragon due to cost considerations.

What About the Galaxy S27 and S27+?

The standard Galaxy S27 and Galaxy S27+ are expected to use Samsung’s Exynos 2700 processor in most markets.

Meanwhile, Snapdragon versions of these two models could be limited to North America.
