The upcoming smartphone has reportedly entered a key development stage and could launch in China by mid-2027.
iQOO is reportedly developing a new Z-series smartphone with a large display and battery. According to a recent leak, the device could feature a 7-inch screen and a battery exceeding 10,000mAh. The phone may join the upcoming iQOO Z12 series, although its official name remains unknown.
Tipster Digital Chat Station shared the details on Chinese social media platform Weibo. The leak suggests that the smartphone has entered the mould stage of development.
This stage usually means the phone’s physical design and dimensions are largely finalised. However, the company could still change some hardware details before its official launch.
iQOO Z12 Series: Expected Specifications
The reported smartphone could feature a 7-inch display and a battery larger than 10,000mAh. These features would make it one of the larger devices in iQOO’s Z-series lineup.
The device could be called the iQOO Z12S, but this remains unconfirmed. According to the leak, the smartphone may launch in China by mid-2027.
The existing iQOO Z11 series provides some context for these battery specifications. The standard iQOO Z11 features a 9,020mAh battery, while the Z11S offers 10,000mAh capacity.

The Z12 Turbo is expected to launch in China. Meanwhile, the Z12x and Z12 Lite are reportedly being developed for global markets.
For Indian buyers, the new series could offer more choices in the mid-range segment. However, iQOO has not confirmed Indian availability, pricing or launch dates.
The company has also not officially announced the leaked smartphone’s specifications or final name. More details are expected as the device moves closer to launch.
