The phone has appeared in a Chinese certification listing, but Xiaomi has not confirmed its launch date or key specifications.
Xiaomi’s upcoming Xiaomi 18 may launch in December 2026, according to recent reports. A smartphone linked to the device received China’s 3C certification on November 6. The listing shows support for 100W fast charging.
The certified device carries the model number M261DB. However, the certification record does not identify it as the Xiaomi 18. Xiaomi has also not confirmed the reported December launch timeline.
Xiaomi 18 Launch Expected in December
The standard Xiaomi 18 could arrive separately from the Pro models. Xiaomi introduced the Xiaomi 18 Pro series on September 23, 2026. However, the company did not announce the standard model at that event.
Xiaomi Group President Lu Weibing previously addressed questions about the missing device. Responding to a Weibo user, he confirmed that the standard model would launch separately.
In August, tipster Digital Chat Station suggested a December release for the device. The latest certification listing supports that possibility but does not confirm the launch date.
Xiaomi 18 Expected Specifications
Leaks suggest that the Xiaomi 18 could feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 processor. The smartphone may also include a 200MP camera and a 7,200mAh battery.
If accurate, the battery would be 200mAh larger than the Xiaomi 18 Pro’s. The reported 100W charging support could also allow faster battery charging.

How It Compares With Xiaomi 18 Pro
The Xiaomi 18 Pro features a 6.4-inch display with Xiaomi’s M11 display system. It offers up to 4,000 nits of peak brightness.
The smartphone uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset, built using a 2nm process. Other features include a 7,000mAh battery and three Leica cameras. Xiaomi has also introduced hardware-level privacy protection in the Pro series.
The standard model could share the same processor while offering different camera and battery features.
Xiaomi 18 India Launch Status
Xiaomi has not announced an India launch date for the standard Xiaomi 18. The company has confirmed global release plans for the Pro series. However, it has not shared similar details about the base model.
Indian buyers will need to await official information about availability and pricing.
For now, the December launch remains unconfirmed. Xiaomi is yet to announce the device’s final specifications, launch date and availability in India.
