Jeep India has launched the Compass Sport 9AT at Rs 21.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The new variant brings an automatic transmission to the entry-level Sport model, making it the most affordable automatic version of the Compass in India. Customer deliveries are scheduled to begin in the second week of November 2026.
The new variant is aimed at buyers who want an automatic diesel SUV without moving to a higher-spec Compass model. It retains the familiar diesel engine while adding the convenience of a nine-speed automatic gearbox.

The Jeep Compass Sport 9AT uses a 2.0-litre MultiJet II turbo-diesel engine. It produces 170 hp of power and 350 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission.
