The full-face helmet starts at Rs 13,699 and comes with DOT, ISI and SHARP five-star safety credentials.
ReiseMoto has launched the MT Thunder 4 SV full-face motorcycle helmet in India. The starting price is Rs 13,699. The new model is aimed at sport touring, adventure touring and daily road use.
The helmet complies with ECE 22.06 and also carries DOT and ISI certification. ReiseMoto says it has also received a five-star rating from SHARP, the UK helmet safety scheme.
Safety certifications
ECE 22.06 is a United Nations helmet safety regulation used in many markets. It covers tests for impact performance, visor behaviour and rotational acceleration.
DOT refers to the US Department of Transportation helmet standard. ISI marking covers Indian regulatory requirements.
SHARP’s listing for the MT Thunder 4SV Adventure identifies it as a full-face helmet tested to ECE 22.06. The listing also gives the model a five-star rating.
Shell and aerodynamic design
The MT Thunder 4 SV uses a HIRP shell. HIRP stands for High Impact Resistant Polymer. The thermoplastic shell is designed to provide impact resistance while keeping the helmet suitable for regular riding and longer trips.
The helmet uses MT’s Air Flow Channel System, known as MT-AFCS. It also has the company’s Reduced Aero Drag Design, or MT-RADD.
These features are designed to support airflow, stability and aerodynamic performance at higher speeds.
Visor and comfort features
The helmet comes with MT’s Quick Visor Swap System. This allows riders to remove or fit the main visor more easily.
It also has an integrated retractable sun visor for changing light conditions. The main visor is compatible with Pinlock 100% Max Vision inserts.
These inserts can help reduce fogging in humid or rainy weather. Buyers should check whether the insert is included with the selected helmet or sold separately.
The inner liners are removable and washable. The helmet also has dedicated speaker pockets and supports universal intercom systems.
An Emergency Release System is included to help trained emergency responders remove the cheek pads when needed.
Availability and price
The MT Thunder 4 SV has been launched in India with a starting price of Rs 13,699. The model adds safety certifications, touring features and communication-system compatibility to MT Helmets’ range.
