Skoda Auto India has introduced a second batch of the Octavia RS performance sedan at Rs 56.69 lakh (ex-showroom). The new allocation is limited to 50 units and follows strong demand for the earlier batch.
The previous allocation had 100 units and was sold out before deliveries began last year. Deliveries of the latest Octavia RS batch are scheduled to start next week.
Skoda Octavia RS Price in India
The second batch of the Octavia RS costs Rs 6.70 lakh more than the first allocation. The earlier batch was priced at Rs 49.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
The car is imported into India as a completely built unit (CBU). This import method contributes to its higher final price. With only 50 units available, the latest allocation will also have limited availability.
Buyers can choose from three exterior colours: Mamba Green, Velvet Red and Magic Black. Mamba Green remains the most distinctive colour in the Octavia RS range.
Engine and Performance
The Octavia RS uses the Volkswagen Group’s EA888 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine. The same engine family is also used in the Volkswagen Golf GTI.
In the Skoda, the engine produces 265 hp and 370 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels through a seven-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
Skoda claims that the Octavia RS can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 6.4 seconds. Its top speed is electronically limited to 250 kmph.

The performance sedan also gets progressive steering and sports suspension. It features an upgraded chassis setup and a sports exhaust system. These changes give it a sharper driving setup than a standard family sedan.
Sporty Exterior and Practical Design
The Octavia RS has a sportier design than the regular Octavia. It gets a more aggressive front bumper, gloss-black exterior elements and RS-specific detailing.
The car rides on 19-inch alloy wheels. It also features Matrix LED headlamps and LED tail-lamps with dynamic indicators.
Despite its performance focus, the Octavia RS retains a practical liftback body. It offers a 600-litre boot, which can increase to 1,555 litres when the rear seats are folded.
The car measures 4,709mm in length, 1,829mm in width and 1,457mm in height. It has a 2,677mm wheelbase.
Features Inside the Cabin
The cabin gets black sport seats with contrasting red elements. The front seats are electrically adjustable and come with memory, heating and massage functions.
Other features include a 10.25-inch digital instrument display and a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The car also supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The equipment list includes three-zone climate control and wireless phone charging. An 11-speaker Canton audio system with a subwoofer is also available.
Safety Features
The Octavia RS comes with 10 airbags and several driver assistance features. These include adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking and lane assist.
The sedan also gets intelligent park assist and a 360-degree Area View camera. A head-up display is included as part of its safety and convenience equipment.
