Xiaomi announced the Poco X8 on September 1, 2026. The phone is expected to launch in September. It will support GSM, HSPA, LTE and 5G networks.
The Poco X8 has a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It offers a 1280 x 2772 pixel resolution and a peak brightness of 3,500 nits. The display also uses Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for protection.
The phone runs Android 16 with HyperOS 3. It uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset, built on a 4nm process. The processor has eight cores, while graphics are handled by an Adreno 710 GPU.
The Poco X8 will come with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Listed options include 128GB with 6GB RAM, 256GB with 8GB RAM and 256GB with 12GB RAM. The 128GB version uses UFS 2.2 storage, while the other versions use UFS 3.1.
For photography, the phone has a 50-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilisation. It also has a 16-megapixel front camera. Both cameras can record video at 1080p and 30 frames per second.

The phone has stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support. It also supports 24-bit/192kHz Hi-Res audio and Hi-Res wireless audio. However, there is no 3.5mm headphone jack.
The Poco X8 has a dual-SIM setup and an IP68/IP69K rating for dust and water resistance. The phone is rated for immersion up to 1.5 metres for 30 minutes. The manufacturer also rates it for water resistance up to 2 metres for 72 hours.
The phone measures 163.5 x 78.3 x 8.6mm and weighs 223 grams. It has a glass front, a plastic back and a plastic frame. It will be available in Black, Frost White and Fiery Orange.
Battery capacity will vary by version. One version has an 8,340mAh silicon-carbon battery, while another has a 9,000mAh battery. Both versions support 67W wired charging, and the phone supports 22.5W reverse wired charging.
The Poco X8 is listed at about 360 euros. The supplied specifications list the model number as 2607DPC18G. Further market-specific details, including availability and pricing in India, may vary by region.
