The special edition features a metallic pink and purple finish but retains the standard Manx R’s mechanical package.
Norton has unveiled a one-off special edition of its Manx R superbike. Called the Manx (P)R, the custom motorcycle was developed with motorsport and lifestyle brand Peaceful Research.
The motorcycle made its public appearance at the British MotoGP event at Silverstone. It features a striking metallic pink and deep purple finish, with no mechanical changes.
Norton Manx (P)R: Special Edition Design
The special edition gets an asymmetrical graphic design with large “P” and “R” lettering across its body panels. A separate “26” graphic on the tail marks the year of the collaboration. Its paintwork combines paint and vinyl beneath a pearlescent lacquer. The finish also includes purple flecks for a distinctive appearance.
Norton says the complete process took 10 days. This included stripping, painting, wrapping, lacquering and rebuilding the motorcycle. The standard Manx R is available in several colours, including Trophy Silver, Matrix Black, Celestial Grey, Aqua Green, Carbon and Glacier Blue.
Norton Manx (P)R: Engine and Performance
The special edition retains the standard Manx R’s 1,200cc liquid-cooled V4 engine. It produces 206 bhp at 11,500 rpm and 130 Nm of torque at 9,000 rpm.
The motorcycle also uses a newly developed chassis, bodywork and electronic systems. Norton has not announced any performance changes for this one-off version.
