Triumph has been spotted testing an updated Thruxton 400 with several new features. The biggest change is a 4-inch circular TFT instrument display borrowed from the Bonneville T40.
The test mule also gets revised switchgear, suggesting changes to its electronics and rider assistance features. However, Triumph has not officially confirmed the updated model or its launch date.
Triumph Thruxton 400: New TFT Display and Switchgear
The new 4-inch circular TFT screen is the most noticeable update. It supports smartphone connectivity, full-map navigation, phone calls, music controls and route planning. Riders can also customise the display using different widgets.
The switchgear has received changes to support the new display. The left-side unit gets a four-way control pad and cruise control switches. The right-side unit houses the engine kill switch, hazard light switch and a dedicated Mode button.

The updated motorcycle could also receive additional electronic features. These may include lean-sensitive cornering ABS, cornering traction control, emergency braking alerts and self-cancelling turn indicators.
The current model gets switchable traction control and dual-channel ABS. The new test mule suggests Triumph could offer a more advanced electronics package.
