The new 5G smartphone features a 120Hz main display, a 1.88-inch rear screen, Android 16 and a 5,000mAh battery.
Acer’s Latin American division has announced the Sospiro A70, a 5G smartphone with two displays and a 64-megapixel rear camera. The device also features Android 16, 256GB of internal storage and an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance. Acer has not yet revealed its price.
The Sospiro A70 follows the Acer Sospiro A15, which was unveiled in July with a similar dual-display design. However, the A15 supports 4G LTE, while the newer A70 adds 5G connectivity.
Acer Sospiro A70 Specifications and Features
The Acer Sospiro A70 features a 6.67-inch HD+ IPS display with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. The main screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate and has a waterdrop-style notch for the front camera.
The phone also has a smaller 1.88-inch TFT display on the back. This secondary screen offers a resolution of 240 x 284 pixels. It allows users to preview their appearance and frame selfies while using the main rear camera.
Dual Displays and 64MP Camera
The rear camera setup includes a 64-megapixel sensor with an AI sensor and LED flash. On the front, the smartphone has a 16-megapixel camera with a dedicated flash.
The rear display is one of the phone’s key features. It lets users see the camera preview while taking selfies with the main rear camera. This can help them use the higher-resolution sensor instead of relying only on the front camera.
Processor, RAM and Storage
The Acer Sospiro A70 is powered by the Unisoc T8200 chipset, which supports 5G connectivity. The smartphone runs Android 16 and comes with 8GB of physical RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
It also supports virtual RAM expansion of up to 12GB. This brings the advertised combined memory capacity to 20GB, although virtual RAM uses storage space and is different from physical RAM.
Users can expand the internal storage by up to 1TB with a compatible microSDXC card. This provides additional space for photos, videos, apps and other files.
Battery and Charging
The smartphone packs a 5,000mAh battery and supports fast charging. Acer has not provided further charging details in the available information.

The battery capacity is a key part of the device’s hardware package. However, actual battery life will depend on usage, network conditions, screen settings and other factors.
Connectivity and Security
The Acer Sospiro A70 supports 5G, NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2 and GPS. It also includes a 3.5mm headphone jack for users who prefer wired headphones.
For security, the device offers facial recognition and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. These features give users two options for unlocking the phone.
Design and Durability
The phone measures 165.95 x 77.1 x 8.35mm and weighs 210 grams. Its dual-display design adds a second screen to the rear panel while retaining a large primary display on the front.
The device also carries an IP64 rating. This indicates protection against dust and resistance to water splashes under specified test conditions. However, the rating does not mean the phone is waterproof or suitable for underwater use.
Acer Sospiro A70 Price and Availability
Acer has not announced the official price of the Sospiro A70. The device appears to be aimed at the Latin American market, based on the regional product information.
The smartphone is listed in red, black and white colour options. Details about its retail availability and launch in other markets have not been confirmed in the available information.
