The gaming-focused phone will arrive in India this month, but Infinix has not shared the exact launch date.

Infinix has confirmed that the GT 50 Pro will launch in India in October. The gaming-focused smartphone debuted globally in April, but it has not yet reached the Indian market.

The company confirmed the India launch through a press release. However, Infinix has not revealed the exact date. Instead, it is running a “Game Together” campaign on its India website. Fans can help unlock the launch date by taking part in the campaign.

According to Infinix, each click contributes to a community target. Once the target is reached, the company will reveal the official launch date of the GT 50 Pro in India.

The company is also presenting the GT 50 Pro as part of a wider gaming ecosystem. Infinix says it is working on additional gaming-focused products that can expand how users control and experience games. The full lineup has not been revealed yet.

Infinix GT 50 Pro specifications

The GT 50 Pro has a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution. It supports a 144Hz refresh rate, 330Hz touch sampling and up to 2,800Hz instant touch sampling.

The display can reach a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. It is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i, according to the specifications provided by Infinix.

The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate chipset. It comes with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage.

For gaming, the GT 50 Pro includes pressure-sensitive shoulder triggers. It also has a liquid cooling system designed for gaming-focused use.

The smartphone packs a 6,500mAh battery. It supports 45W wired charging and 30W wireless charging.

For photography, the phone has a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS and EIS. It is paired with an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera and a 13-megapixel front camera.

Other features include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, an in-display fingerprint sensor and an IR blaster. The phone also carries an IP64 rating.

India launch and what to expect

The India launch comes after the GT 50 Pro made its global debut in April. Infinix had taken a different launch route this year compared with the previous GT series timeline.

Last year, the company introduced the GT 30 Pro in June. It followed that with the standard GT 50 in August. This year, the GT 50 Pro appeared globally first and is now coming to India.

The company has not yet provided details about the India-specific pricing or complete gaming product lineup in the information provided. The official launch date will be announced after the “Game Together” campaign reaches its target.
