Samsung has expanded its internal One UI 9.5 testing to more affordable Galaxy phones.
Samsung has started testing One UI 9.5 on the Galaxy A57 and Galaxy A17 5G, according to the provided firmware information. The testing shows that Samsung is preparing its next software update well ahead of its expected stable release.
Samsung has already been testing One UI 9.5 for several months. Earlier tests were mainly focused on its high-end Galaxy S26 series and Galaxy Z8 series devices.
The Galaxy A57 has now appeared with an internal One UI 9.5 build. The firmware is identified as A576BXXU6CZJ1. The appearance of this build indicates that Samsung has expanded its testing beyond flagship models.
The cheaper Galaxy A17 5G has also appeared on Samsung’s servers with One UI 9.5. Its internal firmware is identified as A176BOXM8EZJ1.
These builds are internal versions and are not available for public testing. Their appearance also does not confirm when Samsung will release One UI 9.5 for either phone.
Samsung’s testing pattern is changing
Samsung usually begins testing upcoming software on its premium smartphones. Testing then expands to mid-range and more affordable Galaxy models.
This time, the Galaxy A57 and Galaxy A17 5G have entered testing relatively early. The Galaxy S26 series was the first to begin One UI 9.5 internal testing a few months ago.
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Flip 8 followed last month. Samsung has now started testing the software on lower-priced models as well.
The move suggests that Samsung is preparing support for a wider range of Galaxy devices. More models could join the internal testing programme in the coming weeks.
One UI 9.5 testing starts before the stable release
Samsung’s current One UI 9.0 rollout is already reaching more Galaxy devices. More than a dozen Galaxy models are now running the latest software, although several devices are still waiting for the update.
At the same time, Samsung has been working on the next major software version. Internal testing allows the company to identify problems and prepare the software before a public release.
However, an internal firmware build does not mean the software is ready for users. Samsung can continue changing or testing the software before releasing it publicly.
What this means for Galaxy A57 and A17 5G users
The appearance of One UI 9.5 builds is a positive sign for owners of the Galaxy A57 and Galaxy A17 5G. It confirms that Samsung is actively preparing the software for these devices.
However, users should not expect an immediate update based only on the internal firmware listings. Samsung has not provided a public release date for these specific models in the information provided.
The provided information points to a stable One UI 9.5 release around February 2026, alongside the Galaxy S27 series. More Galaxy devices are expected to enter internal testing before the stable release.
For now, Galaxy A57 and Galaxy A17 5G users will need to wait for Samsung to announce public availability.
