The foldable phone is expected to reach India just five days after its reported global launch, with pricing yet to be confirmed.
Vivo is reportedly preparing to launch the X Fold 6 in global markets on October 1, followed by its India launch on October 6. The reported dates come from tipster Abhishek Yadav, after an earlier Geekbench listing pointed to an October global launch.
The X Fold 6 first debuted in China in June. It arrived there with a starting price of CNY 7,999, which was around $1,190 at the time. The global launch is expected to come about four months after its Chinese debut.
Vivo X Fold 6 expected global variants
For international markets, the X Fold 6 is expected to be available in two storage configurations. These could include 12GB RAM with 256GB storage and 12GB RAM with 512GB storage.
The phone is also expected to launch in Prism Black and Nebula Teal colour options. However, Vivo has not yet officially confirmed the international variants.
There could also be a software difference between the Chinese and global models. The international version is expected to run OriginOS 7, while the Chinese model launched with OriginOS 6 Fold.
Vivo X Fold 6 specifications
The main hardware is expected to remain unchanged in international markets. The foldable phone features an 8.02-inch inner display made with Samsung’s M14 luminous material.
It also has a 6.51-inch cover display for use when the phone is folded. The device is powered by Vivo’s custom Dimensity 9500 Super Edition chipset.
The camera system is expected to remain the same as the Chinese version. It includes a 200MP primary camera, a Zeiss APO-certified periscope telephoto camera and a 50MP ultra-wide camera.
The phone also supports Vivo’s Zeiss 200mm teleconverter accessory. This accessory is designed to provide additional zoom capability for photography.
Large 7,000mAh battery and fast charging
The X Fold 6 is expected to carry a 7,000mAh battery. This is a notably large battery capacity for a foldable smartphone.

For charging, the phone supports 80W wired charging and 40W wireless charging. These specifications are expected to remain unchanged in the international version.
Vivo X Fold 6 India price could cross ₹1.5 lakh
Vivo has not announced the India price of the X Fold 6 yet. Earlier estimates suggested that the phone could cost more than ₹1.5 lakh in India.
The estimate follows an approximately 40% price increase for the Chinese lineup compared with the previous X Fold 5. However, the final India price will depend on Vivo’s official pricing decision.
The launch timeline also marks a faster international rollout than the previous generation. The X Fold 5 took around five weeks to reach India after its China debut, while its wider international rollout took longer.
This time, the reported schedule would bring the X Fold 6 to global markets on October 1. The India launch would then follow just five days later.
What to expect next
The reported October launch would place the X Fold 6 in international markets while Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold8 is still relatively new. However, Vivo has not officially confirmed the launch dates, international pricing or all market-specific specifications.
With the reported global launch less than a week away, more certification listings, retailer information and pricing details are expected to emerge before the official announcement.
