Xiaomi Mijia Hot Water Dispenser Pro Heats Water in 3 Seconds

The new dispenser has a 2.8-litre tank, four temperature settings and a self-cleaning mode.

Xiaomi has introduced the Mijia Instant Hot Water Dispenser Pro in China. The dispenser is priced at 399 yuan, about $60, and will go on sale on September 28.

The appliance is designed for quick hot-water use at home. Xiaomi says it can start dispensing hot water in about three seconds. Under normal conditions, water inside the heating element can reach 100°C.

Four temperature settings

The dispenser offers four preset temperatures: 25°C, 45°C, 75°C and 100°C. These settings are aimed at different uses, including room-temperature water, milk or formula, tea and boiling water.

Users can also adjust the temperature to a preferred level. This gives users more control when preparing different drinks or hot water.

2.8-litre removable tank

The model has a removable 2.8-litre water tank. It can be filled manually or connected through a flexible hose to bottled water or a purified water source.

Xiaomi recommends using pure or filtered drinking water. The parts that come into contact with water are made from food-grade stainless steel.

This includes the tank liner, heating element and main water pathways.

Self-cleaning feature included

The dispenser also has an LED display that turns on automatically when a cup is placed on the base. An intelligent self-cleaning mode can flush residual water from the internal pipes.

The display also shows the cleaning progress during the process. This feature is designed to help reduce the risk of residual water remaining inside the water pathways.
