The Vivo sub-brand has confirmed a redesigned camera module, new rear design and major zoom upgrade.
The iQOO 16 will launch in China later this month with a redesigned camera module and a major zoom upgrade. The Vivo sub-brand has also confirmed a new colour option and key hardware details ahead of the launch.
iQOO has revealed the design of the iQOO 16 in a post on X. The phone keeps a flat rear panel, but its camera island has been redesigned.
The rear cameras sit inside a square-shaped deco with a raised outer boundary. The three lenses are linked by a design described as a “robotic arm”, translated from Chinese. iQOO says the camera layout also forms a “navigator” symbol.
The phone will use a glass rear panel with a new “hexagonal tech pattern”. At least one colour option, called Light Chasing, has been confirmed. This finish is similar to the Apex Edition of the iQOO 15.
The camera module also carries the text “100x tele lens”. This confirms that the iQOO 16 will support up to 100x digital zoom. The phone will have three rear cameras, including a primary, ultrawide and periscope telephoto camera.

The design images also show a flat metal mid-frame. The power button and volume controls are placed on the right side. Multiple antenna bands are also visible, while the LED flash sits outside the camera deco.
The iQOO 16 will be launched in China at the end of September. It will arrive alongside the new iQOO Pad Ultra, the company’s top-end tablet.
The company has also confirmed a new gaming chip and its next-generation Monster Super Engine. The phone will use a new Snapdragon 8 Elite series flagship chipset.
iQOO says the handset will offer console-like ray tracing effects. It also claims the phone will deliver improved visual quality for gaming.
More launch details are expected when iQOO officially unveils the phone in China later this month.
